Default Regulation on Misfueling Controls for E15 Blends Expected Soon

There's a new story entry added:

Regulation on Misfueling Controls for E15 Blends Expected Soon

Quote:
Regulation on Misfueling Controls for E15 Blends Expected Soon The Environmental Protection Agency is finalizing a regulation that will outline a new label at gas pumps where E15 is sold in attempt to prevent misfueling by cars and small engines that are incompatible with ethanol blends higher than 10 percent. NMMA has long contended that the rule, which has been in the works since last year, is not enough to address public confusion and protect consumers from engine performance failures, emissions control failures and safety issues that could result from misfueling. The risk of misfueling is especially high for boaters since 95 percent of recreational boats are less than 26 feet in length, making them towable and fuelable at regular automotive gas stations.
